HOW WE WORK

Below is an outline of the steps involved in working with you and your clients. Not every project needs to go through every phase and many professionals engage our services at different stages throughout the design process. We are here to help you look great to your clients and give you valuable time back to run your business and your crews.

1 Discovery

& Feasibility

At this phase we have a phone call or in-person meeting to discuss how Southpaw can support you with your project. In this stage we establish what design and consulting work will be required. We will also discuss budget, timeline, and project details

2 Client Meeting

& Site Analysis

During this phase we meet with you and the property owner to discuss any design questions we may have. We will also take additional site measurements not already provided. We will also require a property survey/plat, previous design documents, and HOA rules.

3 First Concept

& Client Presentation

At this stage in the process we put together a rough conceptual design and meet with you and your client to make sure things are on the right track. This is a perfect stage to talk ballpark pricing.

4 Design Revision

& Finalization

based on feedback on the first concept, we will make any requested revisions to the project scope and design, and begin development of the final illustrative design materials

5 3D Design

& Sketches

During this optional phase, we will produce 3D sketches, renderings, and/or video fly-throughs to wow your clients and ensure a firm understanding of the proposed project

6 Production

Documents

This optional phase involves creating layout plans for your build team and subcontractors

7 Material Take-Off

& Estimating

Although optional, this additional service helps you develop estimates faster for your clients.

8 HOA Packet

Preparation

We assist in preparation of supporting documents required for HOA submission. This ensures the HOA understands what you intend to build for your client.
